He is a graduate of Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Public Administration. He began his professional career as an Assistant State Revenue Specialist at the General Directorate of Revenues of the Ministry of Finance; subsequently, he served as an Assistant Social Security Inspector and Inspector at the Social Security Institution. Throughout his public sector career, he held various positions in the field of social security legislation and practices, most recently as the Director of the Bağcılar Social Security Center. In 2013, he left public service and joined Mehmet Koçak Consulting as a Managing Partner. He is also a founding partner of Baştaş Consulting and Training company and provides consulting services in the fields of labor and social security to companies served by the Mehmet Koçak Consulting Group. He also shares his professional experience through publications, and has numerous articles and columns published in various magazines and newspapers on his area of ​​expertise.
