Dr. H. Ulaş Özcan, a graduate of Boğaziçi University's Department of Psychology, specializes in predictive modeling of human behavior in organizational settings. In his doctoral studies in Organizational Behavior, he examined transformational leadership, psychological capital, and individual performance dynamics, aiming to make behavioral science structured not only at a theoretical but also at an algorithmic level. In order to holistically evaluate the relationship dimension of human behavior, he completed Relationship Therapies training approved by the European Association of Family and Marriage Therapies under the supervision of Dr. Murat Dokur. Early in his career, he worked in the Human Resources and Talent Management units of global companies such as Starbucks, Kordsa Global, and Ericsson. During this period, he observed employee/manager behavior in the field and became a solution partner to many institutions through psychometric modeling and forecasting projects. He taught courses on modeling human behavior using advanced statistical and algorithmic methods at Boğaziçi, Hasan Kalyoncu, and Istanbul Şehir Universities. Dr. Özcan, who founded InsightFactor in 2009, introduced scientifically based talent measurement systems to the business world. Özcan has deepened his academic interests under the umbrella of FlowQ Talent Management Systems Inc., which he founded in 2017. FlowQ has become a system that digitally measures and predicts human behavior using deep learning-based AI solutions, used in 28 languages, 45 countries, and more than 450 institutions. Dr. Özcan is driving the digital transformation of HR with the numerous psychometric inventories and AI-powered assessment tools he has developed. With a behavioral database of over 2.5 million data points, he conducts projects in leadership, high-potential employee analytics, the use of neuropsychological tests in recruitment, corporate climate measurements, and AI-powered talent analysis. His current focus areas include predicting human behavior with deep learning algorithms, designing AI-based systems in talent management, and integrating behavioral data into organizations' strategic decision-making processes.
