Secretary General of the Cement Industry Employers' Union
He completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations at Gazi University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
Following his military service, he began working as a Research, Education, and External Relations Specialist at the Cement Industry Employers' Union. He then completed his master's degree at the Gazi University Institute of Social Sciences with his thesis titled "New Developments in Occupational Health and Safety; Risk Assessment and OHSAS 18001." He subsequently earned his Doctor of Science degree from the same university's Institute of Social Sciences with his thesis titled "Wage Management in the Cement Industry; A Comparative Analysis." His master's and doctoral theses have been published as books.
He served as the Turkish Representative for various working groups of the European Cement Association (CEMBUREAU) and as the National Coordinator for various projects. He has participated in numerous training programs, seminars, and conferences on management, human resources, and industrial relations, as well as training programs organized by the Japan Agency for Cooperation and Development (JICA), the ILO Training Center, Koç University, and Sabancı EDU.
Dr. H. Serdar ŞARDAN, who has participated among the Turkish employer representatives at International Labor Organization (ILO) conferences, serves as the employer representative on the Minimum Wage Determination Commission. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the TİSK Microsurgery and Reconstruction Foundation and the Board of Directors of the ÇEİS Vocational Qualifications Examination and Certification Center (ÇESBEM).
