Yasin holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Istanbul University, a master's degree in psychology from Brighton University, and a master's degree in marketing from Bahçeşehir University. He currently serves as a Managing Partner at Data Expert, one of Turkey's largest executive search firms, operating since 1995 and handling over 150 executive transfers annually.

With 25 years of experience in executive transfers, Yasin supports boards of directors and shareholders in overcoming the management challenges they face both internally and externally.

Yasin specializes in transfers, particularly in C-Level, senior executive, and board member positions. To date, he has evaluated over 6,000 executives, ranging from multinational corporations and conglomerates to startups and leading family-owned businesses, and has completed the transfers of over 400 senior executives. He also provides board-level management consulting services to companies. Altunkaya, who also serves as managing partner at BMI Business School, works to improve governance in the Turkish business world in parallel with his role at Data Expert. Altunkaya speaks fluent Turkish and English and has a basic command of German.
