She graduated from Boğaziçi University's Department of Business Administration. She worked at Doğuş Group and then at Boyner Group until 2018. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Human Resources, Corporate Responsibility, and Sustainability and as a member of the Executive Board. In 2019, she also worked for a year at the Presidential Human Resources Office as a consultant on Turkey's talent project. Currently, she advises the Executive and Executive Boards on Culture and Organizations. She is a member of the Board of Directors of four institutions.

She received on-the-job training at Bank of America and earned her Strategic HR certificate from Wharton. She took a sabbatical from 2003 to 2005 and participated in the "Positive Management" program at the University of Michigan. She completed her graduate studies in Applied Psychology at Istanbul Commerce University and taught at Istanbul, Yeditepe, and Koç Universities. She currently teaches at Boğaziçi University.

Her columns have been published on various websites, in Boğaziçi, Cosmopolitan, and Milliyet. As part of the World Economic Forum's gender equality project, under the leadership of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, the handbook "Gender Equality in Workplaces - Equality at Work," co-authored with Aysun Sayın, was distributed in Turkish to institutions across Turkey. The English version was also distributed in Davos by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies.

Her first book, "Office Stories," was published by Epsilon in November 2005, and the eighth edition of "Positive Management" was published by Elma. Also from Elma, "Corporate Internal Communication" and "Networking Not a Favor," co-authored with Işıl Taysever, were published in 2019. Following her book "Institutionalization," she most recently published "Merkez 4530: Workplace Murders," co-authored with Dr. Akif Aktuğ.

She is a co-director of Biraderler Yapım/Pencere Digital, which produces performing arts and digital content, and of the social enterprise "Çocuk Genç Sanat Tiyatro" (Child Young Art Theater).

She is the recipient of numerous industry awards and is among the 50 CHROs. She has served on the Boards of Directors of PERYÖN (Turkish People Management Association), ÖSGD (Private Sector Volunteers Association), and Global Compact Turkey. She is a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) and IPPA (International Positive Psychology Association). She is a global mentor for Vital Voices, a global NGO whose founders include Hillary Clinton.
