I was born in Malatya in 1966. After graduating from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Industrial Engineering, I started my career in 1987 as an Industrial Engineer at DÖKTAŞ A.Ş., an industrial company belonging to KOÇ HOLDİNG. Then, I worked as Personnel Manager at Demirdöküm A.Ş. and Personnel Manager and Local Administration at Türk Siemens.

In 1998, I was appointed to the Industrial Relations and Human Resources Manager at SIEMENS-SIMKO San. ve Tic. A.Ş. In 2000, I was appointed as the Management Coordinator at Birmot Birleşik Motor Sanayi Ticaret ve A.Ş. in Koç Group, where I managed the Human Resources, Total Quality, Advertising and Public Relations, Corporate Communication functions.

Following my roles as Koç Holding HR Coordinator in 2004, I began to carry out the activities of determining strategies in March 2008 as Human Resources Assistant General Manager and Executive Board Member at Abdi İbrahim İlaç A.Ş., where I supervised and coordinated all Human Resources procedures.

As Hakan ONEL, after 35 years of corporate business experience, which I left behind, with different companies, cultures and leaders in different sectors, until I became a member of the executive board, I transferred my experience and knowledge to Onel Consulting Ltd. Sti. I carry it to my professional life. I work in many areas such as human resources, corporate management systems, strategic planning, process management, buying a company or preparing a company for sale. I provide consultancy services especially and primarily to family companies on critical issues such as providing intermediary services in a position that manages the psychology of bosses in company acquisition and sales processes. In addition to my consultancy service, I have various product distributorships and representations related to cosmetic products and food supplements. Most importantly, I am trying to support the company that my pharmacist daughter partnered with a girlfriend and is trying to become a brand, as an “Angel investor” but completely as Angel 😊.

In addition to these, I voluntarily work as a member of the board of directors of PERYÖN, one of the largest NGOs in Turkey and celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and as the vice president of finance.
